Camping: The Youth Village is a carefully designed place to accommodate youth groups. The camping site at the Youth Village is a perfect destination for youth groups seeking a memorable outdoor and indoor experience. It offers various accommodation options to suit different preferences and needs transferring the core values of the Palestinian society into a more focused community.

  • Girls Dormitories: Our well-maintained dormitories provide comfortable shared accommodation for larger groups. Each dormitory is equipped with bunk beds, lockers, and common areas for socializing and relaxing. As the Youth Village is an extension to the Palestinian society’s values and norms, the dormitories are placed within the main building of the Village, Al-dar Alkbeire, where privacy can be maintained.
  • • Camping Areas: For individuals who prefer a more traditional camping experience, the facility provides designated camping areas. Tents can be pitched in large and beautiful camping areas surrounded by nature. People can relax in the peaceful outdoor environment, enjoy bonfire nights, and take the chance to connect with nature again.
  • Wooden Huts for the Night: For added comfort and a rural touch, we offer charming wooden huts that were mainly designed and built by youth employing their own perceptions of huts and wooden cottages. These cosy cabins provide a private and serene retreat at night, with the comfort of a bed and basic amenities. Wake up to the sounds of nature and experience the joys of camping without compromising on convenience and comfort.

At the Youth Village camping site, we strive to create a welcoming and secure environment for all our guests. Our facilities also include shared bathroom and shower facilities, communal cooking areas, and recreational spaces for group activities.   • Hiking Adventures at the Youth Village:

Nestled in the heart of nature, the Youth Village boasts a network of hiking trails that cater to all levels of hikers. From easy routes for beginners to challenging paths for seasoned explorers, there's something for everyone. Hikes in the open mountains and woods surrounding the Youth Village grant the opportunity to get introduced to all kinds of wild animals and plants kept safe away from the city.

    1. Diverse trail options: Three different trails suited for all kinds of hikers ranging from a short length path which is easy to mount, a medium length and difficulty rout that extends beyond the woods, to the experts’ long trail that crosses the green valley and is suitable for high-level competitions.
    2. Scenic viewpoints: Capture breath-taking moments at designated viewpoints along the trails, offering glimpses of natural wonders of Palestinian countryside.

 

  • Biking Excursions on the Road of Hope:

For cycling enthusiasts, the Road of Hope provides an exhilarating journey through varied terrain. This well-maintained cycling route, which were installed in cooperation with Cycling Palestine offers a mix of flat stretches, challenging ascents, and thrilling descents. It is yet another opportunity for exploring the beauty of the Palestinian Countryside through an unusual lens.

Among these premier facilities are Al-Diwan, The Volunteers House, and the Village Learning Centre (VLC), each designed to accommodate diverse training needs.

Al-Diwan: A Hall of Illumination and Inspiration

Nestled within the Youth Village is Al-Diwan, a distinguished training hall that seamlessly blends functionality with inspiration. The name (Al-Diwan) is derived from the essense of Palestinian Villages. It is a hall where villagers gather to discuss their common issues such as: harvest seasons, celebrate Eids, and pay tribute at as a funeral house. It is the core of each village in Palestine including the Palestinian Youth Village. It is equipped to host training sessions, Al-Diwan stands out with its abundance of natural lighting and ventilation. This thoughtfully designed space not only fosters a conducive learning environment but also ensures participants bask in the refreshing ambiance, enhancing the overall training experience.

 

The Volunteers House: Where Collaboration Meets Learning

Step into The Volunteers House, a hub of collaboration and learning. This venue goes beyond conventional training settings, providing a dynamic space for participants to engage in interactive sessions, workshops, and team-building activities. With its versatile layout, The Volunteers House is an ideal choice for fostering teamwork and skill development.

 

Village Learning Centre (VLC)

To optimize the delivery of the Tamayyaz program, Sharek has established the VLC as a complimentary site within Sharek’s Youth Village. This strategic move aims to focus on self-learning experiences, contributing to the sustainable development of equal access to economic resources through employability training, project experience, and advocacy. The VLC has further diffused the outreach and the impacts of the Youth Village, as its design has been carefully thought through with a focus on optimisation strategies for enhancing learning, creativity and active participation of young people. In this way, the VLC diverges from the traditional learning environments such as classrooms, and instead offers multifunctional facilities dedicated to the development of projects such as “Tamayyaz” and beyond.

Natural Viewpoint: Where Nature Unveils Its Secrets

Step into the Natural Viewpoint, a hidden gem within the Youth Village that beckons nature enthusiasts. Capturing scenes of sunrise and sunset, natural horizon and nearby villages, Areas A, B, and C of the West Bank, all can be brought together in one spot telling a story of resilience, heritage and culture.

 

Al-Mastaba (The Terrace)

Located strategically within the Youth Village is Al-Mastaba, commonly known as The Terrace. This elevated vantage point stands a constant reminder of the old centre of the Youth Village before the current growth. It also stands as a space inviting the famous terraces of Al-Aqsa Mosque to the Youth Village. As an open venue serving many different purposes, Al-Mastaba provides a haven for those seeking community-like communication.
