“Hayat Mural” at Youth Village
This initiative centres on the creation of an artistic mural at Youth Village that embodies the presence of Palestinian women in culture, collective memory, and community life and highlights their role in preserving heritage and transmitting it across generations.
The mural reflects aspects of Palestinian women’s lives, including traditional dress, embroidery, stories, songs, agricultural seasons, work on the land, and social customs, alongside their contributions to resilience, community building, and family life.
Artists, young women and men, and members of the local community participate in its design and production through a process that combines art, learning, and dialogue. The mural transforms a public space at Youth Village into a living artwork that communicates an essential dimension of the Palestinian story.
