Revitalising the Maqam of Nabi Musa and Documenting Its Story
The initiative contributes to revitalising the Maqam of Nabi Musa in the Jerusalem wilderness as a significant religious, historical, architectural, and cultural landmark. It seeks to activate the site as a vibrant space for cultural, youth, and educational activities while preserving its spiritual standing and historic character.
The initiative documents the history of the maqam, its seasons, rituals, stories, and associated popular memory through oral testimonies, photographs, archival materials, research, films, and digital content. It also organises cultural tours and trails that introduce young people and the wider public to the maqam’s place within Palestinian memory
