“Once Upon a Time” Initiative

The initiative documents Palestinian folktales and stories passed down through oral tradition and safeguards them from disappearance by collecting and recording them in cooperation with elders, storytellers, and custodians of popular memory.

Young people transform these stories into animated films and engaging digital content for children and younger generations. In doing so, the initiative facilitates the intergenerational transmission of oral heritage and reinforces the national, cultural, and social values embodied in Palestinian storytelling
