Gaza and the West Bank… One Message
More than 170 cyclists took part in a simultaneous community cycling event across Gaza and the West Bank, carrying one powerful message:
No to restrictions on freedom of movement — yes to our right to move, access, and live freely.
The event also witnessed strong and meaningful participation by cyclists with disabilities, highlighting that freedom of movement is a right for everyone, without exception, and that sport can be a powerful space for inclusion, participation, and breaking barriers.
The event was organized by the Sharek Youth Forum, the Palestinian Cycling Federation, and Palestine on a Bike, in cooperation with the municipalities of Gaza, Ramallah, and Al-Bireh, and in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
From Gaza to Ramallah and Al-Bireh, cyclists rode along two different routes, but with one Palestinian voice and one shared message:
More than 170 cyclists… Gaza and the West Bank, one homeland and one right: our right to freedom of movement.
