More Than 170 Cyclists… One Message 🇵🇸🚲

In a powerful Palestinian scene carrying a message that goes far beyond sport, more than 170 cyclists, including persons with disabilities, took part in community cycling routes organized in Gaza, Ramallah, and Al-Bireh. The event affirmed that distances and barriers cannot divide Palestinians, and that determination and the will to live continue to unite them across one homeland.

The event brought together broad youth and community participation, embodying the values of unity, inclusion, participation, and the right to freedom of movement. The participation of persons with disabilities was an integral part of the initiative’s message, emphasizing everyone’s right to access public spaces and participate fully in sports and community activities without discrimination.

The community cycling routes in Gaza, Ramallah, and Al-Bireh captured inspiring moments from the gathering and start of the rides through to the finish, where participants were celebrated and presented with medals in recognition of their participation and the message they carried.

The event was organized by Sharek Youth Forum, the Palestinian Cycling Federation, the Palestinian Olympic Committee, Gaza Municipality, and Palestine on a Bike, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

From Gaza to Ramallah and Al-Bireh, participants carried one message: Despite the distances, barriers, and difficult realities, life unites us, hope unites us, and Palestine unites us. 🇵🇸
