From Learning to Discovery… Days in Qalandia Al-Balad 🌿

As part of the International Youth Day activities, Sharek Youth Forum, in cooperation with the Peer Education Network and IPPF Palestine, and in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), organized a youth initiative for participants in the GirlZone and Majd Journey camps in Qalandia Al-Balad – Jerusalem District.

The initiative included a tour through the alleys of the Old Town, where participants explored its history and heritage, alongside a variety of recreational and educational activities that combined learning, discovery, teamwork, and meaningful engagement with the place.

Through these initiatives, we seek to strengthen the presence of Palestinian cultural heritage among young people, connect new generations with the history, memory, and identity of their towns and villages, and transform learning into a living experience through which youth can discover Palestine, its details, and its stories.

Knowing a place is the first step toward protecting it, preserving its heritage, and passing it on to future generations.
