Sharek Youth Forum Holds Its Annual General Assembly Meeting and Elects a New Board of Directors for a Three-Year Term
Ramallah – Sharek Youth Forum held its Annual General Assembly meeting in Ramallah, attended by members of the General Assembly and supervised by the Higher Council for Youth and Sports, represented by Ms. Hanaa Al-Khatib from the Youth Institutions Department.
Following confirmation of the legal quorum, the meeting opened with a recitation of Al-Fatiha in remembrance of the martyrs. The Board of Directors then presented the administrative report, which outlined the Forum’s key achievements, programs, and initiatives implemented over the past year, as well as the challenges faced amid the exceptional circumstances affecting the Palestinian people. The report also reaffirmed the Forum’s commitment to empowering young people and enhancing their role in society.
The General Assembly reviewed and approved the financial report, and also endorsed the reappointment of Mr. Imad Aliyat as the external auditor, in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.
Members of the General Assembly praised the outgoing Board of Directors for its achievements, expressing appreciation for its efforts to ensure the continuity of the Forum’s work and the development of its programs and initiatives despite difficult circumstances.
For her part, Ms. Hanaa Al-Khatib emphasized the important role played by Sharek Youth Forum in serving Palestinian youth, commending its ongoing programs and impactful initiatives that promote youth participation and build the capacities of young people across Palestine.
The meeting also included the work of the Election Supervisory Committee, composed of Mr. Moayad Affaneh and Mr. Khaled Qaddoura, in the presence of the Forum’s legal advisor, Attorney Raed Zarf, external auditor Mr. Imad Aliyat, and Ms. Hanaa Al-Khatib representing the Higher Council for Youth and Sports. Their presence ensured that the electoral process was conducted in accordance with the Forum’s bylaws and with the highest standards of transparency and integrity.
Following the resignation of the outgoing Board of Directors, nominations were opened, and the following members were elected uncontested to serve on the new Board of Directors:

The newly elected Board of Directors will serve a three-year term, during which it will lead the Forum’s next phase, further develop its programs, strengthen its national and community presence, and advance its mission of empowering Palestinian youth, expanding opportunities for their participation, and supporting their initiatives across various fields.
