Ongoing Violations Around the Youth Village and the Destruction of Citizens’ Lands in Wadi Hamad
Ramallah | July 2, 2026 – Sharek Youth Forum strongly condemns the ongoing attacks and violations targeting Palestinian-owned land in Wadi Hamad area surrounding the Youth Village. For several consecutive days, heavy machinery, operating under the protection of Israeli settlers, has continued carrying out extensive land leveling and destruction, damaging privately owned agricultural lands, retaining walls, and traditional stone terraces in an apparent attempt to impose a new reality on the ground.
These actions constitute a serious escalation and a blatant violation of Palestinians’ rights to their land and property. They form part of a systematic policy aimed at asserting control over the area and undermining the Palestinian presence there.
Sharek Youth Forum emphasizes that what is taking place in Wadi Hamad is not an isolated incident, but part of a continuous pattern of attacks targeting both the area and the Youth Village, threatening its future and its developmental and youth-focused mission.
The Forum calls on the international community, the United Nations, and international human rights and humanitarian organizations to uphold their legal and moral responsibilities by taking immediate action to halt these violations and ensure protection for Palestinian civilians and their property.
The Forum also calls upon the relevant Palestinian authorities and human rights organizations to document these violations, pursue all available legal avenues to hold those responsible accountable, and take urgent measures to protect Palestinian land and prevent the continued imposition of facts on the ground.
Sharek Youth Forum will continue documenting these violations and advocating for the protection of the Youth Village while defending Palestinian land and presence in Wadi Hamad area.
