Press Release
Violation No. (68)
Continuous Israeli Attacks on the Youth Village and Destruction of Its Property
Sharek Youth Forum condemns the ongoing and repeated Israeli attacks on the Youth Village in Kafr Ni’ma, northwest of Ramallah. The latest incident, recorded as Violation No.68, comes as part of a continuous series of attacks targeting the village, its facilities, and its staff.
During recent days, the village has been subjected to repeated incursions by Israeli settlers and occupation forces, accompanied by acts of vandalism and destruction of property and facilities. Informational and directional signs throughout the village have been torn down and damaged, while Israeli occupation forces continue to enter the site on a regular basis, disrupting its operations and threatening the safety of its visitors and staff.
These repeated attacks constitute a blatant violation of Palestinian youth’s right to access safe spaces and community and educational facilities. They also reflect a systematic policy aimed at restricting Palestinian institutions working in the fields of youth development, education, and community empowerment.
Sharek Youth Forum reaffirms that the Youth Village will remain an open national space for Palestinian youth despite all attempts of targeting and intimidation. These attacks will not deter the Forum from continuing its mission of serving Palestinian youth and strengthening their resilience on their land.
The Forum calls upon the international community, human rights organizations, and diplomatic missions to assume their responsibilities regarding these repeated violations and to exert pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to halt their attacks on the Youth Village and hold those responsible accountable.
