Tubas Sports Club – Tubas (Northern West Bank)

Located in Tubas in the northern West Bank, Tubas Sports Club hosts one of Girl Zone’s community-based learning spaces, supporting adolescent girls from the local community through a safe, structured programme. Participants are engaged in interactive sessions that focus on self-empowerment, confidence-building, and the development of essential life and social skills in an age-appropriate and supportive environment.

This site was selected intentionally because Tubas is among the marginalized areas most affected by the current political conditions and mobility restrictions. Difficulties in movement and access to services often limit girls’ opportunities to participate in consistent learning and psychosocial activities. Establishing Girl Zone in Tubas helps ensure that adolescent girls in these communities are not left behind—by bringing learning opportunities closer to where they live and creating a space they can access safely and regularly.

The learning space is equipped to encourage active participation and peer connection, and sessions are delivered by a qualified female team to ensure comfort, trust, and safety. Through Girl Zone at Tubas Sports Club, girls are supported to express themselves, strengthen their wellbeing, and build the skills they need to navigate daily challenges and contribute positively to their communities.
