Renewed Raid on the Youth Village and Continued Targeting of a Palestinian Civilian Space

Sharek Youth Forum announces that Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by settlers, are currently carrying out a renewed raid on the Youth Village. This attack constitutes the fifty-seventh incident in an ongoing series of violations targeting independent Palestinian civic spaces.

This raid occurs within the context of a systematic policy aimed at undermining civil and community-based work and imposing coercive realities through force, in clear violation of the Palestinian people’s right to freedom of association, organization, and civic engagement.

Sharek Youth Forum holds the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible for this attack and its consequences, including any damage inflicted on the Youth Village or its facilities. The Forum calls upon the international community, diplomatic missions, and human rights institutions to take urgent action to halt these violations and ensure the protection of Palestinian civic spaces.

The Forum reaffirms that the Youth Village will remain a free and national civic space, and that repeated attacks will not succeed in undermining the will of community-based action nor the role of Palestinian youth in resilience, steadfastness, and rebuilding.
