Located in Yatta, one of the most marginalized and geographically isolated areas in southern Hebron, the Narsan Cultural Center serves as a vital safe space for adolescent girls who face mobility challenges and limited access to personal development opportunities. The center was selected for its deep-rooted trust within the local community, strong partnerships with surrounding institutions, and the commitment of its leadership to sustain the GirlZone program beyond its initial cycle. To date, the center has reached 75 adolescent girls aged 12–17, organized into three learning groups, providing them with a safe and stimulating environment to explore their potential and strengthen their confidence.
The GirlZone room in Yatta was rehabilitated, painted, and fully furnished, creating a comfortable and motivational environment that encourages girls to engage in learning, creativity, and dialogue. The space was also equipped with educational tools, recreational materials, and supportive visual elements to promote emotional well-being and interactive participation.
To ensure an atmosphere of comfort and trust, the entire implementation team consists of women — including a site coordinator, an assistant coordinator, and local trainers — providing a culturally sensitive and empowering environment where girls feel safe to express themselves openly.
Through this center, GirlZone reaches adolescent girls who were previously excluded from such opportunities, offering them a safe, nurturing, and inspiring space to grow, connect, and dream.
