Escalating Attacks and Looting of Youth Village Property

Ramallah – The repeated attacks on the Youth Village continue, with the team discovering yet another theft of kitchen equipment, work tools, and four tents along with their structures designated for accommodations.

These violations have not been limited to theft alone but have also included acts of vandalism, destruction, and deliberate sabotage of the village’s infrastructure in an apparent attempt to disrupt youth and volunteer activities. Furthermore, continuous raids by occupation forces and settlers have taken place during activities, where participants are harassed, their IDs are demanded, and an atmosphere of fear is imposed on those present in the village.

These ongoing actions constitute a flagrant violation of the right to youth work, volunteerism, and peaceful assembly, and threaten an environment that is supposed to be safe for young people and children.

We call on international human rights organizations to intervene immediately to address these escalating violations. It is imperative to ensure the protection of the Youth Village and to safeguard the rights of young people to engage in their activities freely and without fear.

Additionally, we hold the occupying authorities fully responsible for these systematic attacks and call upon all concerned parties to act urgently to stop the destruction, vandalism, and deliberate targeting of this outstanding youth space.
